One of my "Covid" projects is to digitize old slides. The photo that inspired this painting was taken when I was a young Peace Corps Volunteer. It is my second attempt to paint this scene. The first taught me what not to do.
Sorata is a lovely town in Bolivia. When I was living on the Altiplano, it was a treat to escape to places where I could smell things growing.
